About Me

I'm a wife of a wonderful husband, a mom of two wonderful growing boys and a sweet little one in heaven. We're a homeschooling family.

I used to be a teacher, but when my second child was born, I decided to use my skills at home. At times we miss that second paycheck (who wouldn't?), but I thoroughly enjoy watching my kids grow older.

I enjoy reading and writing, so writing book reviews just was a no-brainer. I always told my students that if I could get a job reading books for a living, I'd do it. :) I don't get paid for reviewing, but it's certainly fun all the same!

I'm a follower of Jesus Christ, and He is where my faith lies. You'll see posts here about my walk with Him. I'm not perfect, but gratefully the Lord loves me anyway.

Thanks for reading, and if you enjoy my posts, let me know! I love to hear from my readers, and I appreciate your encouragement and good thoughts!

  1. Wow, just found your site. I was researching costochondritis as I've been to every doctor imaginable and one doctor just mentioned this to me...long story but earlier last year I had suspected this was my issue my entire life. I'm 51, and also an ex-teacher, but had to stay home due to autoimmune issues with rashes/angiodema some 5 yrs. ago..I'm presently laying around doing absolutely nothing (2 mos. now) due to this horrendous chest pain and have had every test under the sun. I also am a Christian and have been crying out to God, day and night to give me strength to endure; I prefer outright healing though! :)

    Blessings, Tammy

    1. Tammy, I am so sorry that you're dealing with this, too! I am so glad that we have a Father who cares about us, don't you? I too prefer healing, but like the Apostle Paul, sometimes we have a thorn in our side that we have to deal with. Keeps me humble, maybe? Keep in touch, Tammy, and let me know how you're doing! Blessings!
